Local Outreach

Markham Santa Claus Parade

Every November, COTR participates in the annual Markham Santa Claus Parade. Through this local event, we sing Christmas carols, hand out tracts and New Testaments, and share the gospel with spectators in the crowd. In 2016, COTR was given the first place prize in the non-commercial float category by the Mayor of Markham.

Markham Music Festival

Every summer, COTR participates in the Markham Music Festival by setting up a booth where we can serve free treats like popcorn and cotton candy while sharing the good news of Christ with others in the Markham community.

Spread The Cheer

Carolling at Markham Stouffville Hospital

Every year around Christmas time, a group from COTR visits Markham Stouffville Hospital to sing Christmas carols, share the love of Christ, and spread some Christmas cheer!

Embrace

Worship in Toronto's Local Hospitals & Retirement Homes

Launching this Christmas, the worship team of COTR will be making semi-annual visits to local hospitals around Toronto, including SickKids Hospital and Princess Margaret Hospital, and several retirement homes to share the love of Christ and the hope we have in Him. Through this ministry, we hope to bring many to the saving knowledge of Christ.

Markham Food Bank

Starting this Thanksgiving, COTR will be making regular donations, in the form of various food items, to help Markham residents in need.

International Outreach

Seeking Refuge

For the past five years, COTR has been working with local churches across Europe to provide financial aid, food, clothes, and toys to refugee families escaping war and persecution. Through this ministry, we have had the opportunity to share the gospel with hundreds of individuals in various European cities in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Croatia, and Finland and see so many families come to the saving knowledge of Christ.

Love In Action

For over ten years, we have been supporting the efforts of local orphanages across Romania by providing financial support, particularly around the Christmas season. These donations have made it possible for orphanages to provide new clothes and toys to the children in their care.

Prison Ministry

Over 15 years ago, we launched our prison ministry in the United States. This ministry focuses on providing tracts, Bibles, CDs, and Christian books and other literature to inmates across the United States. Every month 400-500 inmates receive material and 150 institutions are currently being served in 37 states.

Operation Christmas Child

We believe the Christmas season is the best time to give. Every year, we participate in the Operation Christmas Child project and send hundreds of shoe boxes filled with toys, learning supplies, and hygiene products to children in need across the globe.
