The greatest love story ever told is Christ dying on the cross and resurrecting on the third day for you and for me. God is love and he manifested this love in the cross and the empty tomb of Christ. The Father offered his Son, perfect and blameless, as a sacrifice for our sins. The Son, the perfect sacrifice, willingly went to the cross and shed his blood in our place. The Holy Spirit raised Christ from the dead through the Resurrection power of God for us to be given a new life

God is love and everything he does is motivated by His love. The bloody cross and empty tomb will forever symbolize God’s love for humanity. Love overcame sin. Love overcame death. Love was victorious in the end. Romans 8:38-39 says that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

We were created to love God and be in a relationship with Him based on mutual love.
